Brace yourselves, Xbox Game Pass subscribers! January 2026 is bringing some significant changes, as seven games are set to depart from the service. This means if you've been eyeing any of these titles, now's the time to act before they vanish from your library.
Microsoft has officially announced the second wave of games leaving Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass at the end of January 2026. The games include:
- Cataclismo
- Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector
- Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders
- Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap
- PAW Patrol World
- Shady Part of Me
- Starbound
These games will be removed from both Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass on January 31st.
Let's dive into some of these titles and what you can expect:
- Cataclismo: A real-time strategy/management game. While we don't have a completion estimate, it's known for its challenging achievement list.
- Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector: Boasts 30 achievements, which can be unlocked in approximately 15-20 hours. Be warned, though, as there are several missable achievements and a challenging one for completing the game on Dangerous difficulty.
- Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders: Offers a base list of 1,000G that can be earned in under 10 hours. However, the completion is tough, with title updates and DLC potentially extending the total completion time to around 30 hours.
- Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap: Requires a significant time investment, with around 80-100 hours needed for completion. A large portion of this time will be spent grinding for kills.
- PAW Patrol World: An action-adventure game that can be completed in under 8 hours.
- Shady Part of Me: A puzzle-platformer that can also be completed in under 8 hours.
- Starbound: A 2D sandbox game that can be finished in under 10 hours. The Windows version has its own set of achievements, which takes approximately 12-15 hours to beat.
It's worth noting that PAW Patrol World was initially slated to leave in December 2025 but remained on the service. Now, it's back on the removal list.
The clock is ticking! If you're eager to complete any of these games, make sure you prioritize them before they're gone.
